As training seminars and courses are planned by ALDOT and Alabama Technology Transfer Center for Alabama RTAP, this page will provide information on each activity. This page will have the instructor names, outlines, dates, times and location of each seminar or course as the information becomes available. The has been planned for April 13 to April 15, 2005. The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn, 2598 Cobbs Ford Rd, Prattville, AL. The hotel is located to the west of I-65 at Exit 179. The special room rate for the conference is $65 per night plus tax. Reservations may be secured by contacting the hotel at either 800-465-4329 or 334-285-3420. You must mention the group name "ALRTAP" in order to receive this special rate.
The conference will begin at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 13 and end around noon on Friday, April 15. Edward Leader will facilitate the opening session, a 4-hour management training course, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Wednesday. Rich Garrity will facilitate a 7 to 8-hour Financial Management Training Course on Thursday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. A 1.5-hour peer-to-peer networking session will be held from 8:00 am - 9:45 am on Friday. A coordinated transportation panel discussion involving state governmental agencies will be held from 10:00 am to 11:45 am on Friday.
Hands on driver training for the state roadeo participants from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on April 15. The state roadeo, a drive-off competition, will take place on Saturday, April 16, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The FY 2005 Management Training Workshop will be held on November 17 to November 19, 2004 at Joe Wheeler State Park. The Park is on US 72, about two miles west of Rogersville, AL, in Lauderdale County. Directions are contained on the website of the park. Maps of the park can be purchased by calling Joe Wheeler State Park Marina at 256-247-6971 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The meeting will begin at 1:00 pm on November 17 and end around Noon on November 19. The events on November 17 & 19 will take place in the Park. The special room rate at the park for this meeting will be $45.00 per night.
